Spend the first few minutes reading all the sets before solving any. Most candidates lose marks by committing to a hard set early rather than by solving slowly. Look for sets where the constraints pin values down quickly, those are the ones that resolve.
Recent papers have used a handful of sets with several questions each across the 40-minute section. The exact structure has changed between years and CAT publishes no fixed format, so practise on the assumption that selection matters more than any particular count.
