How the percentile predictor works
You enter your Class 10, 12 and graduation scores, work experience and category. For each of 46 programmes we apply that school's own shortlisting formula (academic ratings, work-ex and diversity points) and last year's composite cut-off for your category and gender, then work backwards to the overall CAT percentile that would have earned you a PI call.
No. Every number is a calculation from the schools' selection criteria and the cut-offs disclosed through RTI replies and admission policies. The same profile always gets the same result.
Yes. Pick the CAT you are taking and we work out your work experience up to that year, on the dates each school uses (31 July, 31 December or 31 January). Still in college? Choose 'In college', or 'Working now' with your joining month if you will start a job before then. The cut-offs are last year's, which are the best guide until schools publish new ones.
Each school weighs your profile differently. IIM A, B, L and K give a large share of their composite to 10th, 12th, graduation and work experience, so weaker academics have to be made up with a higher CAT score. FMS looks only at sectional CAT scores and gender, and several newer IIMs use a single percentile cut-off.
'Not possible' means even a perfect CAT score would not have reached last year's cut-off with this profile. 'Not eligible' means the programme has a rule your profile doesn't meet, such as engineers only, at least 24 months of work experience, an agriculture degree or Maths in Class 12.
They reproduce last year's shortlisting closely, but cut-offs move every year and a few programmes (marked 'Based on user data' or 'Approximate data') do not publish full criteria. IIM Ahmedabad also changed its formula for the 2027–29 batch. Treat them as targets to beat, not guarantees.
